Pear Tree Ranch is based on nurturing a family environment, with a focus on supporting our community with learning opportunities in as many mediums as possible, so that the community as a whole may grow and carry each other forward as a strong, progressive and cohesive team.
Our Vision: The Pear Tree Ranch Team will cause Growth and Positive Change, world wide, through the Development and Education of Horses and Humans.
We each have gifts that we can use to nurture the world around us to grow and develop. We start with the education of Horses and Humans and see the unlimited potential to grow from there. Education can happen from a direct sharing of information or from a situation that causes learning, growth and change. At Pear Tree Ranch we use both the direct sharing of information and situational learning to help students, horse and human, grow.

We all have a purpose in life and when people are consciously doing things with purpose they usually feel more successful. Activity with Passion brings out the quality in any endeavor. As we inspire Hope in our students, we cultivate belief that they can Live their Dreams, however big those dreams are. Hope also means that horses that may have not had a chance otherwise, find an opportunity to be a true partner.
The History of Pear Tree Ranch
The name Biernbaum, means Pear Tree in German. So Jake’s Pear Tree Ranch, is really just Jake Biernbaum’s Ranch. Jake’s ranch brand is a pear design, with his initials JP in the pear. Jake wears his brand on his saddle, chaps and a custom beaded belt buckle along with other things.
Jake takes pride in where he comes from and considers his family as a very important part of his life. Jake’s given name is John Patrick. Jake is a nickname his dad, John, and mom, Patricia, have called by him since he was a small child. Because of this family pride he has chosen the name, Pear Tree Ranch.
Now the Pear Tree Ranch Team consists of not only Jake, but also includes Steph and baby Johnny. Steph and Jake teamed up in 2013, were married in 2015 and Steph has been managing the barn, coordinating events and taking care of the Social Media and Marketing since they got together. She also takes care of the jumping and wearing the “stretchy pants,” she looks better in them anyway, and is fabulous at teaching kids and beginners as well as the beginnings of English performance. Johnny takes care of keeping people entertained and flooded with cuteness. All together this is a family operation and we are thankful for a large extended family that helps us achieve our goals too.
The Pear Tree Ranch
Pear Tree Ranch has existed at many locations in the past few years. We have been in Michigan, Virginia and we have carried the feeling and idea of Pear Tree Ranch all over the world. Pear Tree Ranch is not only a feeling, but it is an idea, a place that we carry with us everywhere we go. We purchased a facility in Citra, Florida in August of 2017 to share with all of you as an educational center for growth and development. It is very important to us to help people feel a part of something special and we believe strongly in a community and a family environment where everyone is there for you and supports you along your journey towards achieving all of your dreams.
