I had two private lessons with Jake Biernbaum at Blue Moon Farm in Illinois this month.  He gave me so much material that I can practice and progress with on my Level 4 journey.  He teaches in a very understandable manner, watching that I would be able to carry out what he was teaching.  He used simulations, different methods of delivery (visual, auditory, kinesthetic), and SLOW, precise instruction. I’ve taught school for many years, and I can recognize excellent teaching.  An excellent teacher is exactly what Jake is!

Jake is not only very knowledgable, he truly cares about the horses, about his students, and he puts the relationships first between those students, their horses, and him.  I can’t wait until he returns to Illinois so that I can once more learn from him.
