Thank you for providing us with Jake as field instructor!

He is a fabulous instructor and professional.  I recently audited Jake Biernbaum’s  workshops and lessons over three days and was very impressed.  He really knows the Parelli program, taught everyone at their level, emphasized the importance of perfect practice makes perfect and taught everyone how to do that.

I also took a 2 hour private lesson from him.  It was the best private lesson I’ve had with any Parelli Professional.  I started the home study program in 2002,  am an official Level 3 graduate since 2009, and currently study level four. I’ve been stuck, not making progress, and having a hard time finding help.  Once I told Jake the core issue with my horse, he sensed it could be one of a couple things.  He tested my horse and came up with the cause:  “…inappropriate application of pressure has caused my horse to be aggravated.”  I thought I was being as light as possible, but not for this horse.  I also learned the importance of sequence in training my horse.  It makes sense that I’ve missed this because I can be impulsive and want to get to the end quickly.  Before Jake, I’d learned to be patient in the beginning for the first bit of learning, but then I’d ask for the “ whole enchilada”.  I need to take time with every step between the first one and the “whole enchilada”.  This way my horse will understand my communication, not get confused and then irritated and impulsive himself.

He spent time teaching me how to appropriately apply pressure in all 7 games.  My horse changed immediately.  I still have to practice my timing and feel to get it excellent, but now I have a plan that makes sense.  And, I now know what my horse is telling me when he swishes his tail when I rub him or sees me and walks away.  I always knew it was negative feedback but could not figure out what specifically I was doing.

Now I know!!!!
